California would be a major country if it were not a state,....and what a state it is !
Factors such as California's sheer size, diverse cultural, geographic, climactic and business interests all contribute to
the appeal that has made California a tourist Mecca for much of the world.
Our purpose on this site is to share with you some of then spots we have visited along with our recommendations for
attractions restaurants, lodging (dog friendly is a MUST FOR US for lodging and dining) and anything else along the way that
we think you might find interesting.

With mountains, deserts, beaches, oceans, lakes, Disneyland, boating, fishing, water and snow skiing, Seaworld, the Spanish Missions, entertainment industry, Hollywood, Palm Springs, San Francisco, and a list that could extend the reach of this simple page for chapters.... This site is really a travel log of our journeys, and California vacations with our dogs, places we have visited and recommend..and perhaps those that we suggest you steer away from And very important to us will be the California DOG FRIENDLY vacation destinations, lodging, eateries and attractions that we'll touch on along the way. pepino and sinja... on a dog friendly California vacation ! Our little dogs, Pepino (left) and Sinja (right) who travel with us everywhere... these are the pups welcomed or not when we take jaunts about the state...you get the idea...2 dogs..total weight 14 lbs.. as well behaved as you can possibly get. When we say a place is not dog friendly, this is our point of reference. Never a trip is taken without these 2 " the guys" as we affectionately call Sinja and Pepino, two rescue Chihuahuas. Their story as well as a wealth of information about dog adoption, rescue, nutrition and care can be found at Dogs 4 Life Do make a visit :) So for those of you who also opt to take your 4 legged family friends with you when you travel, this special feature may be of interest.
